Artful.ly is business software for artists.
You can use it to sell tickets to your events, take donations online, and keep track of your fans and patrons. We've built some special features just for fiscally sponsored projects. To access these, you will connect your Artful.ly account to your fiscal sponsorship.
Build a Patron Database From Your Donor History.
When you connect your Artful.ly account to your fiscally sponsored project, your donation records and contact information automatically synchronize to Artful.ly. In addition, any grants or donations to your project from institutional funders appear as Company Records in your database.
You can add notes about donations, details about donors, and see that information alongside ticket sales and communication records. This will help you stay in touch with your patrons, keep them updated on your events, and track your biggest supporters.
Having control of ticket sales is an important step in growing your business. Artful.ly allows you to sell tickets for your events in advance and accept credit cards at minimal cost to you:
Online tickets include a $2 service fee paid by the patron, and credit card transactions include a merchant fee of 3.5%, which is automatically deducted from each sale.
The 7% fiscal sponsorship fee does not apply to ticket sales. To set up your paid ticketing kit, we need a completed EFT form emailed or faxed to us along with copy of a voided check.
Please Note: It is not currently possible for fiscally sponsored project to sell tax deductible or partially deductible tickets through Artful.ly (or any other ticketing platform). In the meantime, you may use the giving levels on your sponsored project page to offer tickets as a perk to donors. Contact the fiscal sponsorship team for more details at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Take Donations on Your Website
The majority of funding for arts organizations comes from individual donations. As a sponsored project using Artful.ly, you can solicit tax-deductible donations for the purpose of your project without directing your patrons off your website.
To do this, you need either the donation widget or WordPress plugin installed on your website. You'll need to know a bit of web programming to install the widget but what you'll get is a elegant way to receive donations. Donations received through Artful.ly will be automatically placed in your sponsored fund and kept separate from your ticket revenue, which gets sent directly to your bank account.
