Charge Renter is an easy way to process credit cards in person or over the phone using SpaceFinder. It is part of the suite of optional features included in Booking Engine. You do not have to be using online booking to use Charger Renter, this provides maximum flexibility in how you want to manage payment for rentals. What benefits does Charge Renter offer?
Charger Renter is a streamlined way to process payment, email receipts, keep a transaction history, and send automated reminder emails to your rental customers and process refunds.
What are the fees to process credit cards?
To keep SpaceFinder a free resource for renters and free for venues to list their spaces, there are some small fees associated with using online booking to collect rental payments.
1.5% of the rental amount goes to arts non-profit Fractured Atlas; these funds are split with our local partners to sustain SpaceFinder websites
- 2.9 % + $.0.30 of the rental amount goes to credit card processing; this is the cost of secure online banking using our payment processor, Stripe.
These are the only fees. There are no monthly payments. And, get ready for this... there are NO FEES FOR REFUNDS (which can really add up, especially if you have a pretty forgiving cancellation policy). What rental specifics features are there?
Charger Renter was created with venue rentals in mind. When performing a transaction, you can input as much rental specific information as you need including who is using your space, what for, when, and for how long. You can also send automated email reminders for bookings taken over the phone. In addition, you may also use charge renter for rental related sales like piano tunings, equipment rentals, etc. by selecting the 'other' category under your planned activities.
Because Charge Renter works independently from your listing, you have the freedom to offer flexible pricing, discounts, or additional costs as needed. Can I see my rental history?
A record of all transactions are kept in your dashboard searchable by date and renters name. Rental transactions include an overview of the renter, day of rental, amount paid, and payment type. You can also access details of each rental and edit the information or issue whole/part refunds as necessary.
Your list of transactions, in whole or part, is exportable into a basic CSV spreadsheet which you can use in other CRM (customer relationship management) systems.
