Grant Funds Awarded!

Depending on a funder's application process, you may hear back about the status of your application directly from the funder. If Fractured Atlas is not included on the notification from the Funder, please let Fractured Atlas know by emailing [e-mail] when you hear from the funder, so we can support you in your next steps. 

In some cases, the funder will contact us as your fiscal sponsor first. When we receive notification regarding a pending grant application, we will contact you to inform you of the funder’s decision.  

Grant Agreement / Documentation

All grant awards of $5,000 or more require documentation in order for Fractured Atlas to process the funds. This documentation can be a grant agreement or contract, award letter, or Fractured Atlas’s Major Gift Letter. If the grant award is for less than $5,000, but is accompanied by a grant agreement, contract, or award letter, the document(s) must be received and approved by Fractured Atlas.  In all cases, the following must be included: 

• The Name of your fiscally sponsored project  - the name should match the name on record with Fractured Atlas
• Indication of Fractured Atlas as the grant recipient OR acknowledgement of the fiscal sponsorship relationship between Fractured Atlas and your project
• Funder’s name and address
• Funder’s signature or letterhead
• Amount of the contribution
• Date

Grant awards often require a contract. If a contract is required for a grant opportunity, it must be signed by Fractured Atlas staff, not the sponsored project (since Fractured Atlas is the legal recipient of the funds). 

Should you receive a grant agreement or contract, please contact our staff before signing. In some cases, the sponsored project will be asked to sign in addition to a Fractured Atlas staff member.  

Award Payment

ACH or Wire Transfer

If the award will be sent to Fractured Atlas via ACH or Wire Transfer, please connect us to the funder. Fractured Atlas will need to share our banking information with the funder directly, whether that's via email or via a funder's portal. 

Check

Checks should be made payable to "Fractured Atlas" with your project name in the memo line. The funder is welcome to send the check and award letter to you, but in most situations, these materials can be sent directly to Fractured Atlas at:
