Prohibited Activity: Hire a Commission-Based Professional Fundraiser to Raise Charitable Donations

As a matter of policy, we don’t recommend working with professional fundraisers who get paid on a commission/percentage basis. Percentage-based compensation can produce reward without merit and, among other things, can encourage abuses. 

If you choose to hire a fundraiser, we will ask that you pay them a flat fee per hour, day, month, or year. When releasing funds to pay for their time, we'll expect that you can provide an invoice or contract outlining this arrangement.
