Once people are donating to your campaign, keeping them updated on your progress is a great way to keep them engaged and sharing your work with their networks during and after your campaign is live. You can create them from the updates tab on your campaign.
Updates will post to your campaign page, and send an email to everyone who has donated to your campaign to-date. Your update may contain the following:
- Subject The subject appears in the title of the update on your campaign page, and works as the subject line for the email that will go out.
- Youtube or Vimeo link The video will appear at the top of the email, and the update on your campaign page.
Note: Email does not support embedded video, so a preview image of your video will appear in your update email. When your supporters click on the preview, a new tab will open on your campaign update page to view the video.
- Body The body copy of your update will appear in both the email and on the updates page of your campaign.
- Save or Publish Saving the update will save your progress so you can return to edit later, or publish at a later point. Publishing the update will post it to your campaign page and immediately send an update email to your donors.
