What’s a signatory?
The signatory is an individual who is able to sign contracts on behalf of a legal entity. For example, the authorized signatory could be you if the legal entity on file is your name and social security number, it could also be your collaborator if the legal entity on file is an LLC owned by them, or it could be your organization's board member if the legal entity on file is a corporation. Unsure who your signatory is, ask yourself "Who is authorized to sign a contract on behalf of the legal entity I've listed here?"
If you're not the member applying for fiscal sponsorship with Fractured Atlas but agreed to be the associated legal entity of the project, you will need to sign the fiscal sponsorship agreement to confirm your acceptance of any tax or liability implications related to fundraising through Fractured Atlas.
Once the direct applicant has assigned you as the signatory, you will receive an email from Fractured Atlas asking you to sign the fiscal sponsorship agreement.
To accept the invitation, please click on the hyperlink in the email:
You will be navigated to Fractured Atlas’s website to complete the verification process. Ensure your name is filled out correctly, add the last four digits of the TIN (Tax ID Number) that were included in the application, and then click “VERIFY”.
After verifying, please review the Agreements section, and submit the application!
We will review the application within the selected processing time and reach out to the member applicant if we need any clarification!
