Congratulations! All of us at Fractured Atlas are so excited for what you will accomplish with these funds. We appreciate all of the hard work that you put into promoting your campaign.
If your campaign is in its final hours or if you feel you have exhausted all your potential donors, feel free to move into the process of thanking donors and ending your promotional efforts. Just because your campaign has reached its initial goal, however, does not mean that you have to stop fundraising.
Continuing To Fundraise
Ready to keep this momentum going? The first step is to thank those who have already given. I recommend using the Updates feature to send a message straight to those who gave to this campaign. Ask them to share the campaign with their friends and network. The goal is to let them feel proud of what they are helping you accomplish. If they feel good about helping you, they will be more likely to help again in the future.
Next, use your communications platforms (email, social media, etc.) to send out a message to your potential donors. Thank everyone for their support, announce that you have reached the goal, but share that you are planning to continue to fundraise.
This is the important part: you need to articulate for them how additional funds will improve your project and maximize its impact. How will additional funds be used? What is your specific “Stretch Goal”? Could you pay artists an equitable wage? Use better or more ethical materials? Make your event more accessible? Add another show?
If you are able and have the time, we would also recommend updating your campaign page! Feel free to create a new video and add new text acknowledging that the goal has been met and providing information on why folks should continue to give.
People love being part of a success story. With a little bit of effort, you can keep the momentum going and bring in even more funding to amplify your project’s artistic impact.
