When you log in through your fiscal sponsorship dashboard, you can view your project's total fund balance and available fund balance:
Your total fund balance and available balance might differ if:
- A donation was received within the past week. All donations are subject to a seven (7) calendar day holding period before funds become available for release. This holding period allows Fractured Atlas staff time to process and deposit check donations, and resolve any credit card billing issues that may arise.
- We have not yet received and/or uploaded a required Major Gift Letter for a check donation of $5,000 or more. We will process any incoming check donations to your sponsored fund, even if we are waiting on the Major Gift Letter, but the funds will only be made available for release once the Major Gift Letter has been uploaded as supporting documentation for the gift.
Your total fund balance and available fund balance is also displayed at the top of the Fund Release Request form. The available fund balance indicates the maximum amount you can request at that time. If you attempt to request more funds for release than the total funds currently available, the form will automatically reject the request.
To check to see why a donation is not yet available for release, click MY DONATION HISTORY on your Fiscal Sponsorship dashboard.
- Check if a large donation is missing a Major Gift Letter, click the check box "Only include donations missing documentation" and then click filter.
- Check when a donation will be available for release, click the > icon to the left of the donation you want to know more about. A detailed dropdown of the donation will appear. In the right column labeled Donation Info, the "Available" line will have a date next to it. This date indicates when the donation will be made available for a fund release or if it is on hold because it is missing documentation.
If you have any questions about why a particular donation is not yet available for release, you can contact Fractured Atlas staff for assistance.
