The Application Process

The Fractured Atlas accepts fiscal sponsorship applications on a rolling basis through an online portal. It takes about 30–45 minutes to complete, functions as a legally-binding contract, and typically receives a decision within 10 business days.

All applications to the fiscal sponsorship program can be submitted on our website: https://fs.fracturedatlas.org/. The application should take about 30-45 minutes to complete. Once you've submitted your application, Fractured Atlas staff will follow up if there are any remaining questions related to your application.  

⏱️ Application Timeline

Applications are reviewed and considered on an ongoing basis and there is no submission deadline. Most applications will receive a response within 10 business days. We are pleased to offer Fiscal Sponsorship Application Rush Services if your needs require a faster response time. In rare cases, submissions may require additional review by our Board of Directors before a decision can be made, which may delay approval up to 6 weeks. We will contact you if there are any questions or concerns related to your application. 

📄 Fiscal Sponsorship Grant Agreement

By submitting an application, you will also agree to the Fiscal Sponsorship Grant Agreement (current as of 02/28/2024). Since this is a legally-binding contract, please review this agreement carefully before applying. 

Addenda

In a couple of circumstances, projects may be required to sign and agree to the terms set by an addendum to the Fiscal Sponsorship Grant Agreement. These addenda define the limits of certain activities which would normally conflict with the terms of the grant agreement:

• If you have or will solicit investors in your project who are not also creative participants in your project; 
• If you plan to engage in any lobbying or advocacy activities. 

Applicants can sign required addenda during the application process. If needed, Fractured Atlas staff will email you with signing instructions.
