Requesting for Nonprofit Rate Letters

Certain vendors may offer nonprofit or discounted rates to sponsored projects because of their fiscal sponsorship with Fractured Atlas. This article explains how to request a Nonprofit Rate Letter and what to know before using one.

💰 Request a Nonprofit Rate Letter

Fractured Atlas can issue a Nonprofit Rate Letter to a vendor, venue, or other entity your project is working with. The letter verifies your fiscal sponsorship with Fractured Atlas and confirms your eligibility for a discounted rate.

If you need to provide a donor or funder with proof of your project's fiscal sponsorship, you may need a Sponsorship Confirmation Letter instead. See Requesting Proof of Sponsorship for more information.

Before providing information to a venue, institution, or other entity that requests documentation of your nonprofit status, contact Fractured Atlas at [e-mail] for approval.

📋 What to Provide

To request a Nonprofit Rate Letter, email [e-mail] with:

• Full name: The name of the venue or company requesting the information
• Mailing address: The full mailing address of the venue or company
• Opportunity details: Information about the opportunity the venue or company is offering

A Fractured Atlas staff member will issue the Nonprofit Rate Letter as a PDF and email it to you to send to the entity requesting it.

⚠️ Things to Keep in Mind

• If there is an application process to obtain the rate, send the application, login information, and/or all application materials to [e-mail] for review and approval.
• An application may be considered a grant. See Grant Application Review Process for more information.
• Fractured Atlas cannot be listed on contracts, agreements, or other binding documents with the venue or business. For liability reasons, only your project's name and information should be listed.
• A Nonprofit Rate Letter does not guarantee that a vendor will offer your project a discounted rate. Each vendor decides whether to extend the discount.
• A Nonprofit Rate Letter does not provide sales tax exemption. Fractured Atlas cannot provide sales tax exemption for fiscally sponsored projects. See Prohibited Activities for more information.
